It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donna Marie Taylor tDONNA MARIE TAYLOR his past February. Donna will be deeply missed by her twin sister Clarina Taylor; birth mother Jane Wood, adoptive mother Beverly Suek, birth father Damien Hebert; grandmother Kitty Wood; brothers and sisters, Wayne Taylor (Nina Boulet), Keith Taylor, Amanda Dunn, Raymond Dunn, Arthur Dunn, Matthew Lawrence (Sonya Jantz), John Lawrence (Jane Wilson), Frances Hebert, Claude Hebert; and by her children and many friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her adoptive father Joseph Taylor; sister Pam Hebert; grandfather Adam Wood; and brother Brian Taylor. Donna was born in Red Lake, Ontario, but her first home was St. Theresa Point First Nation. She lived most of her life in Winnipeg, but for the last few years she lived in Dawson Creek, BC, to be close to three of her children. We will miss her wit, compassion and lovely smile, always. Donna had many obstacles in her life and yet never lost her deep affection for the people who were important to her. From a song that speaks the truth about the Donna we loved: This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Native Women's Transition Centre at 105 Aikins, Winnipeg, MB R2W 4E6, is encouraged.
