Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryETHEL ROSE CURRAN January 9, 1925 - April 12, 2007 Ethel died peacefully at the Emerson Care Home. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 56 years, Jack; son Jay (Debbie); granddaughters, Alexandra and Nikki; her sister Florence (Ray) McMurray; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur Stringer. Ethel loved animals and owned several prize show dogs, winning major national awards. She was an active member of the Anglican Church of Canada, and was a licensed layreader. Ethel worked at the Emerson Post Office, was a switchboard operator, and an administrative assistant with the Boundary School Division. She was active in town affairs and was a mainstay in organizing the Franklin Museum. Ethel's home was open to all, she loved her two granddaughters dearly, and greatly enjoyed the time she spent with her nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place, and a funeral service will be held in the Dominion City United Church on Tuesday, April 17 at 1:30 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Franklin Museum, Box 4, Dominion City, MB R0A 0H0.
