He will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Geralda; sons, Gerry (Marguerite), Guy (Karen); grandchildren, Pauline (Paul), Lise and Joel; great-grandson Eric, as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, Jules and Paulette Lafond, Marcelle and Noel Trudeau, Claude and Dora Lafond and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, August and Yvonne Pichette, as well as sisters, Marguerite, Berthe and Helene, Cecile, Yvette, and brother Alec. Frank was born on September 19, 1920 in Erickson, MB moving to St. Boniface at a young age. He attended Provencher School and enlisted in the P.P.C.L.I. in March 1940. He saw action in Normandy, Caen and Holland. He was very proud of his wartime service. When he was discharged from the army, he worked as a self-employed plastering contractor for many years. He was proud to say his plaster and stucco never cracked. Frank began employment with the St. Boniface School Division in 1967 at Provencher and then Marion Schools retiring in 1986. His love of children made this job very enjoyable for him. He had many helpers who remembered him years after he retired. Frank was known for the teasing twinkle in his eye and his smile. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Précieux-Sang Church, 200 rue Kenny, with viewing one half-hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
