Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY JANE (MAYME) ANDERSON Mary Jane (Mayme) Anderson passed away peacefully on March 22, 2007 at her residence, Rideau Park Personal Care Home in Brandon, at the age of 96. Mayme was predeceased by her husband Jim in 1983 and son Bill in February, 2007. She is survived by son Ted (Arla); daughter Betsy Playter (Ross); daughter-in-law Linda; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Mayme and Bill will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Ashern at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2007 with Father Michael Raj officiating. Interment to follow in the Ashern Municipal Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 4 Fort St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1C4. Arrangements by Arnason Funeral Homes Ltd. Although my tribute to Aunt Mayme comes much later than her passing, its mainly become she was a relative that I only met twice in my life and spoke to her on the phone back in the 1970s. She has a kindly face by her photo. I never forgot her throughout the years from spending a week at her family home in the 1950s and on another occasion when I attended a New Year's Eve party at someone's home in Ashern in the early sixties. I was invited by a co-worker who was from Ashern at that time and lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba. That was so long ago, I can recall meeting her and felt very impressed by her strong presence and looked up to her. I trust she had a good long life among her lovely family who she introduced me to.
