ELSIE HIEBERT 1916 - 2007 Peacefully, on Friday, April 13, 2007, Elsie Hiebert went to meet her Lord at the age of 90 years at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home. Born on May 19, 1916 in the Molotschna Colony, Ukraine, she immigrated to Canada at the age of eight years with her parents, her brother Jacob and sister Mary. She was predeceased in Canada by her parents, Henry Kornelius and Helen Hiebert, brothers, Henry and Jacob and sister Mary. She was also predeceased by three siblings in Ukraine during the Revolution. She is survived by two sisters: Helen (Walter) Sukkau and Hilda Rempel and sister-in-law Sarah Martens of B.C., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Elsie will be remembered for her artistic, creative ability and her faithful support of those spreading the Word of God. The family deeply appreciates the kind, attentive care she received at both Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home, and more recently at the Donwood Personal Care Home. Funeral services will be held at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Hwy. on Friday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to take place in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
