STANLEY JAMES (BUD) GRANT It is with deepest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father, Stanley James Grant (Bud) who passed away on Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 77 years. Remaining to forever cherish Bud's memory are his wife Betty of 42 years of marriage; daughter Kelly (Darryll); sons, Darrin (Ali), Bud Jr., (Lorinda), John (Shayne); grandchildren, Garrett, Madison, Katelynn, Michael, Tyler, Cameron, John and Shane; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as one sister Jean who resides in Ontario. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Catherine Grant; and seven brothers and sisters. Dad was born in Keewatin, Ontario on June 17, 1929. He had a great personality and a sense of humour that left people exhausted at times. If there was a good saying to throw out there Dad always had them. Aside from his first love Mom, Dad was captured by sports, most of all hockey. He went to all games for our younger brother and kept running stats of shots on goal for all the players on the team. He was a great hockey Dad. He was also quite particular about how he kept the yard especially the front lawn and the boulevard. Dandelions and weeds were not allowed on Dad's lawn. He also had another companion, his dog Tiki. Wherever Dad was, Tiki was right beside him sometimes under foot but none the less right there. Working on construction for many years, Dad moved on to be the business representative for local 101. After retiring in 1992, he went to work with Mom at her catering business until she retired in 1997. In compliance with Bud's wishes, no formal funeral service was held and a private family service has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bud's memory to the charity of one's choice. Thanks for the good times Dad, we love you and will miss you more than you could ever know. Oh and by the way Dad, Pittsburgh won on Saturday!!! Bud's arrangements have been entrusted to Manitoba's largest Original Family Owned Funeral Service Provider: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 4665
