Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN CAROLINE WAZNEY (nee MACHULA) With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Jean Caroline Wazney with her family at her side on April 14, 2007 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 82. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Helen (Paul) and Sandra (Julius) and her sons, Eddy (Diane) and Greg (Colleen), her grandchildren, Jason (Athena), Darren (Danielle), Kerry (Brett), Frank (Anita), Jeff (Lorena), Cheryl (Leon), Sarah, Andrea and Brian, and great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Everett, Aiden, Maxx, Kelsey and Zachary will also miss her dearly. Left to remember Jean is her brother-in-law Andrew, and sisters-in-law, Jean, Mary, Nellie and Elizabeth and her cousin Francis, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Jean was predeceased by her husband Frank, her parents, Walter and Katherine, her brothers, William (Doris) and Cashmer, her sister Mary (George). Mom was born in Tyndal, Manitoba on August 26, 1924 where she spent much of her early life in the small farming community. While in Tyndal mom would eventually meet Frank, who later became her husband. Jean and Frank were married on September 11, 1943 at St. Mary's Church in Toronto. Four years after their marriage they both returned to Winnipeg where they spent the remaining years of their lives raising their four children. Mom's working career began at Wilson Auto Electric where she worked for the next 15 years working as an assembler in the alternator department. Mom took great pride in her job ensuring a quality product went out before it left her department. Jean's greatest joys in life were seeing her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with working in her vegetable garden. Mom would spend hours outdoors during the summer attending to her plants and caring for them until the fall harvest. As time went on her garden size would be adjusted but her passion would remain strong. Mom, your spirit will continue to live vibrantly amongst us all, who came to know you. A memorial service with a gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, April 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Inkster. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Jean's memory may be sent to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6. A very special heartfelt thank-you from our family to Dr. E. Pascoe, Dr. Wong, and the nursing staff of CICU at St. Boniface Hospital for their kind, gentle and compassionate care they provided our mother during her stay. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
