Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL BIHUN April 25, 1912 April 15, 2007 Peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2007, after a brief illness, Michael Bihun Gramps passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg at the age of 94 years. Remaining to forever cherish Gramps' memory are his grandsons, Bruce Cielen (Deborah), Brent Cielen (Karen); and great-grandchildren, Blain, Jordan, Ryan, Brenden and Bryson. He was predeceased by his wife Josephine Gam , and his only daughter Virginia. Born on April 25, 1912 in Regina, Saskatchewan, he was the youngest child of John and Maryanne Bihun. Gramps was employed with the Canadian National Railway as a chauffeur for over 30 years. He retired in 1977 at the mandatory retirement age of 65. Gramps was not happy being forced to retire, as CN had just purchased a new truck for him equipped with air conditioning, automatic transmission and all the bells and whistles. If it was up to him, he would still have been working. Known as Transcona Mike , Gramps loved his job and all of his co-workers. Spending the last 15 years as a resident of Lions Place, his outgoing nature and personality made him a joy to be around and made everyone feel at ease and comfortable in his presence. At Gramps' request, a private family service will take place to celebrate his life. Our family would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre and Deer Lodge Centre for their care and understanding during the past few months. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Gramps' memory to the Children's Wish Foundation, Manitoba Chapter, Lower Level, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 3J2. Michael's arrangements have been entrusted to Manitoba's largest Original Family Owned Funeral Service Provider: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 4665
