WILLIAM JOHN (BILL) SANSOM Peacefully, on April 19, 2007 at the Grace Hospital, with his wife at his side, Bill passed away at the age of 96. Bill is survived by his wife Marjorie, of 59 years; daughter June (Jim) DuVal; son Allen (Karen); sister-in-law Beatrice Allen, and his special cousin Ada of Crystal City, MB. He is also survived by six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Bill was born on August 18, 1910 in Marringhurst, MB. He proudly served his country during the Second World War in the 3rd Canadian Division Ammunition Company. Bill worked in the automotive industry for many years as a Dominion of Canada licensed mechanic. Dad and Mom enjoyed many summers at their cottage at Whytewold Beach with family and their dogs. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place with Reverend C. J. Adams officiating. An informal gathering of family and friends are invited to celebrate Bill's life on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. Interment will take place at a later date in the Crystal City cemetery. Bill's family wishes to express their deep gratitude and heartfelt thanks to the staff of 2 South at the Grace Hospital for the wonderful care given to Bill.
