She was predeceased by her loving husband Jack, her infant daughter Kimberley, sisters, Irene, Sylvia, Phyllis, Madeline, Kitty and brother Irvin. She will be lovingly remembered by her seven children, Shirley Michaels (Joe), Larry (Joanne), Bob, Greg (Irene), Clint (Linda), Janet DeWandel (Ken), Lori (Don), 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brother Chris (Margaret) and sisters, Nona Ramage (George) and Carol Bunner (John). Born in Baldur in 1928 she moved to Winnipeg and then into Charleswood where she lived life to its fullest for the past 50 years. She had a great sense of humour, always ready with a joke to bring a smile to your face. Known as Mrs. Huggy by her many friends she always gave hugs because You get lots of hugs back . She was a loving grandmother, instilling in her grandchildren her love of music. She taught them the importance of family and value of honesty. Anna was employed at Sears Manitoba Room Restaurant for many years. She was an active member of the Charleswood Legion and looked forward to her twice weekly Seniors Bowling at Polo Park with all her friends. Anna loved music, playing a variety of instruments and listening to her country cds and records. Dancing brought joy into her life, especially dancing with her grandson Neil at the monthly R.A. Steen Center dances. She loved knitting for charities, painting and gardening on her patio. She was an avid card player, challenging everyone to a rousing game when they stopped for a visit. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the caring Drs. Inglis, Hartley, Smart and Harris, the home care staff and the staff and volunteers of Grace Hospice during her final days with us.
