ROBERTA DIANE NORMAN (nee DEBROWSKI) It is with profound grief and sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Diane Norman, on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the age of 61. Diane will be greatly missed by her husband of 42 years, Keith; their children, Cindy, Keith Jr. (Verle) and Robert (Leah). Diane will also be missed by her granddaughters, Stephanie, Sarah and Caitlyn, who she called her little angels. Diane will be fondly missed by her brothers, Ted (Penny) Debrowski, Charles Debrowski; mother-in-law Leah Norman; brothers-in-law, Grant (Barb), Barry (Janice), Glen, Clark (Linda) and Lloyd (Christy); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Diane was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Nellie Debrowski; father-in-law Leslie Norman and sister-in-law Sue Norman. Diane was known for her culinary expertise. You were guaranteed to never leave Diane's home hungry. Her generosity went beyond just food. Diane extended that generosity to the community. She was a minor hockey convenor in Atikokan, ON. In Winnipeg, she was treasurer of the East Side Eagles and was instrumental in dealing with the community committee for the refinancing of the Eagles after a devastating fire. On top of this, Diane still found the time to volunteer regularly at the Winnipeg Cancer Society. In 1988, Diane moved to Saskatoon with her family, and worked for a short time at K-Mart Department Store. Unfortunately, due to failing health, Diane was forced to give up activities outside the home. Even with her health problems, Diane's strong will and drive still commanded everyone's attention. Yet, she was always willing to stop and lend an ear. Through 42 years of marriage, Diane and Keith's love never faltered. Their love was always strong through even the roughest of times. No matter what was going on in her life, it would always be put on hold to help her children first. Diane's love for her children was nothing short of amazing. To Diane, her greatest accomplishment was her granddaughters, and she never hesitated announcing how proud she was of them. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 23 at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Ave., with Pastor Bruce Gelhorn officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Seven Oaks ICU for all that they did for us. A Grandmother's Love A Grandmother's love lasts forever In times apart and together Those kisses that pecked my cheeks I'll cherish forever and in my heart I will always keep. Those hugs that reassured me when I was sad I'll always feel in times that are good and times that are bad. I hope that you know that I love you And don't worry, I know you love me too I just want you to know my love for you will last forever In times when we are apart and together.
