Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT GAGNON It is with profound sadness the family announces the untimely death of Robert (Bob) Gagnon on Friday, April 20, 2007. Robert was predeceased by his father Lucien, his brother Roger and his granddaughter Cassidy. He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother Gabrielle Gagnon and his two children, Douglas and Cathy. Grandchildren, Roblyn, Kyle and Erika, his brothers, Raymond (Judy), Rick (Brenda), Ron (Cyndy), Skip, his two sisters, Jeannette Beal and Sharon Gagnon as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Robert was born September 9, 1944 and grew up in Winnipeg, MB but later moved to Thompson, MB in his late teens to work for Inco Metals Inc. Much later in life he returned to Winnipeg to pursue his passion of stock car racing and classic cars. Robert and his best friend Eldon flew to Montreal to purchase the new love of his life; a beautiful blue 1964 Galaxie 500 XL convertible. Robert's heart and love for his family, friends and life was definitely as big as a galaxy. Robert spent many hours meticulously keeping this vehicle absolutely pristine. You could always find him cruzin in his classic car or out with his friends for coffee at the Pony Corral. The family would like to thank the staff at SICU, Health Sciences Center for their care of Robert and a special thank you to Mr. Ginakes and his staff at the Pony Corral for their hospitality at this difficult time. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Vital Parish, 1629 Pembina highway. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Manitoba Wheelchair Sport Association, 200 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4M2.
