OLEKSA (ALEX) MORHUN March 1, 1913 April 20, 2007 Peacefully on April 20, 2007, Alex passed away at the Holy Family Nursing Home, with his son George by his side, at the age of 94. Alex is survived by his sons, George (Darlene) and Mike of British Columbia; grandchildren, Chad (Lisa), Marnie (Robert), Tracy (Dan); great-grandchildren, Mikaela, Riley, Cody, Adam and Maxine. He was predeceased by his wife Stephania and granddaughter Shawne. Alex was born in the Ukraine. He worked for the City of Winnipeg for many years as an independent contractor. Alex was a long time member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, an enthusiastic member of the church choir and member of the Order of St. Andrews. The family would like to thank the staff at Holy Family Nursing Home who gave him comfort in his last days. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 26 at 9:30 a.m. at Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, 1175 Main Street. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alex's memory to a charity of your choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
