Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN MURIEL KIZUIK (nee HOUSELEY) On April 21, 2007, Mrs. Lillian Kizuik passed away at the age of 71. Lillian will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Brent Kizuik (Sandy), Brad Kizuik (Dawn), Jeff Kizuik (Darlene), Michael Kizuik (Colleen), and Leanne Young (Steve) as well as her grandchildren, Meghan and Marcie, William and Seth, Tyler and Jessica, Andrea, and Abigail and Taylor. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband George, an infant child Cheryl, brothers George and Martin, and sister Hannah. Lillian was dedicated to her family and took great pride in their accomplishments. She glowed anytime she spent time with her grandchildren and made sure that they knew how important they were to her and that they could accomplish anything they put their mind to. As well as her devotion to her family, she was well known for her love of spring flowers, her soft spot for St. Bernard dogs, her high praise of the importance of an education and, of course, a good cup of tea. Lillian's nurturing spirit guided her in her career as well. Lillian ran a daycare centre and delighted in working with children. She worked at The Pas Hospital as a Registered Nurse and provided home care to the sick and elderly. She worked at a veterinary clinic taking care of animals in need. She particularly enjoyed working on the maternity ward assisting young mothers with their newborns. She would often be recognized and complimented by grateful young moms while running errands. Her family took great pride that she was awarded a Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Manitoba in 1995 at the age of 59. She was a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had a tremendous influence on her family and those who knew her loved her sense of humour, upbeat attitude and generous nature. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. The family thanks the staff at Vista Park Lodge for the exceptional care and love given to Lillian while she was a resident. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lillian's memory to the Alzheimer Society Manitoba. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Lawn Funeral Home 455 Lagimodiere Blvd 982-7550
