Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW OTCHENASH December 2, 1927 - April 21, 2007 Peacefully, on April 21, 2007 Andrew passed away at Oakview Place. Andrew was predeceased by his infant son Joseph Paul; brothers, Matt and John. Andrew will be missed by his wife Pauline; sons, Howard (Suzanne), Harold (Debbie); grandchildren, Sadie (Jon), Zachary, Payge (Scott), Rikki (Marcelle); five great-grandchild-ren; siblings, Sophie, Ollie, Albert, Mary and William. Andrew was born in Scolen, Poland and came to Canada in 1928. He was an educator for 35 years and for the last 17 in the St. James Assinniboia area. He was the first principal of Kirkfield Park School for Exceptional Children. Andrew loved his hobby farm in Saskatchewan and woodworking. He loved his students, and influenced many of them, he had many friends and will be missed by all. The family would like to thank the staff at Oakview Place for the past nine years. He participated in all their functions; he especially enjoyed the hymn sings and bowling. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with a viewing one half hour prior and a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andrew's name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 222 Queens Street Suite 1402, Ottawa, ON K1P 5V9 or Oakview Place 2395 Ness, St. James, MB R3J 1A5.
