Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRONISLAWA MOSZKIEWICZ (nee JANOWSKA) After a long and full life, Bronislawa passed away peacefully on April 22, 2007 at Misericordia Hospital at the age of 102. Bronislawa was born on April 9, 1905 in Dolhe, Ukraine. She was relocated during the commencement of the Second World War to Drzewianowo, Poland. She then moved to Winnipeg in 1971. She was predeceased by her husband Piotr; daughter Helena, and her sisters, Stefania, Maria, Pauline and Helen. She leaves to mourn and celebrate her life, a large family. Her daughters, Maria Pagowska, Adela Opalinska, Janina Wlodarczak, along with their families. As well as her sons, Stanislaw (Maria), Tadeusz (Janina), Edward (Gina), Leon (Helen) and their families. Also, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, Poland, France and the United States. Bronislawa married Piotr Moszkiewicz at the age of 21 and was widowed at the age of 52. She was left to raise her children on her own. She faced life's adversities, including her declining health and well being with great courage, grace, and dignity. Bronislawa dedicated her entire life to her children and God. During the war, she spent many hours praying in a church in Krakow. During that time, the people of Krakow were taken by trucks where they believed they were receiving a hot bath. But they didn't return. Bronislawa's hours in church caused her to miss her trip to the mysterious baths. Her dedication to God saved her from the fate of Auschwitz. Prayers will be held on Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating.
