ELIZABETH SLOCOMBE Peacefully on April 20, 2007, our beloved mother quietly slipped away from us. Elizabeth Slocombe (nee Sereacki) was a kind, gentle soul who was greatly loved by friends and family and all who got to know her. Her memory will be cherished by her mother Lena Sereacki; brother Lawrence Sereacki, sister-in-law Elaine, nephews, Michael and Stefan, daughter Karen Lesiuk and her husband Felix; son Greg Slocombe and his wife Dominique and grandson Xavier. Elizabeth was born in Oakbank, MB to Lena and Stanley Sereacki. Elizabeth grew up in Winnipeg, graduating from St. Johns High School. Elizabeth worked various clerical jobs for all levels of government over the years. She was especially a devoted mother who looked forward to spending time with her grandson. She loved gardening and feeding the squirrels and birds who came to visit her in the yard. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 27 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Visitation will be in the front foyer of the church at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
