CONSTANT HUBERT HENRY BOSSUYT January 18, 1933 - April 25, 2007 Peacefully at home surrounded by his family, Connie passed away after a brief struggle with cancer on April 25, 2007. Connie will be deeply mourned by his loving wife Isabelle (Maes) of 47 years and survived by his son Randy (Yvonne) and daughters, Wendy (Mike) Kukelko and Shawnda (Darryl) Muir and grandchildren, Scott, Leanne, Justin and Devin. Also mourning his passing; his mother Marie, sisters, Margaret Ross (Rod), Joyce Dusik (Rudy), Donna Burns (Rodney), brothers, Lorne (Pauline), Victor (Vivian), John (Beverly); his cousins, George (Donna) Bossuyt and Doreen Anseeuw; his in-laws, Oscar (Evelyne) Maes, Clarisse (Steve) Radvak, Anna (Phil) Sarrasin, Albert and Yvonne Maes; and many nephews, nieces and friends. Connie was predeceased by his father Cyril Archie Bossuyt in 1997. Connie was born in Fort Gary and was the eldest son of seven children working on his parent's family dairy farm near present day Waller Avenue. In 1943, the family moved their dairy/grain operation to Oak Bluff where they continue to farm today. He enjoyed working the fields as well as doing chores in the barn, with his brothers, his children and many nephews/nieces. Harvest was his favourite time of the year. In 2000, Dad and Mom began their semi-retired life and moved into Southpark Estates. There he thoroughly enjoyed the companionship of a very dear community of retired folks who he loved to visit and play cards with. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Connie was a generous and loving father/husband who enjoyed travelling with his family. He taught us many values including a strong work ethic, try your best in sports, study hard at school and support your church and community. His biggest smiles came from watching his grandchildren and their accomplishments. Many a night he was cheering them on at Oak Bluff Community Centre and kibitzing with many of the players and families. Dad loved grandchildren, sports, travelling, Johnny Cash and yodeling, blueberry pie, fishing and his fishing buddies, Toronto Maple Leafs, playing cribbage, Belgian bowling in the hayloft and weed free fields. The family would like to thank Dr. R Blouw and the palliative home care staff for their compassion in his final days. Prayers will be at Mary Mother of the Church at 85 Kirkbridge Dr., Winnipeg on Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday, April 27 at 12:30 p.m. with Father Carl Tarnopolski officiating. Lunch will follow at the Oak Bluff Community Centre. Cremation and burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Mother of the Church or the Oak Bluff Community Centre in memory of Connie Bossuyt (cheque made out to the RM of MacDonald, Box 100, Sanford, MB R0G 2J0).
