Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAURA LARTER DUTCHAK It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister Laura on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 80 years. She leaves to mourn her passing her loving husband Louis; daughter Cathy (Claude Menard) and grandchildren, Leanne and Tyler; son Keith Larter (Jackie) and granddaughter Ireland; step-daughter Dawn (Marek Zaczek) and grandchildren, Jonathan and Jeremy; step-son Ken Dutchak (Irene) and grandchildren, Christopher, Heather, Ryan and Kathryn. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Edna Warwick and Mildred Picklyk; sisters-in-law, Frieda McDonald and Charlotte McDonald; brothers-in-law, Sam Johnson, Bill Picklyk and Nick Sopiwynk, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Catherine McDonald; her first husband Cecil Larter and four brothers, Charles, Harold, Norman and Sydney and by four sisters, Pearl, Alice, Hazel and Cecelia and two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Krivak and Cecil Warwick. Laura was the sixth of 11 children of the late James and Catherine McDonald. Laura was born on the family homestead in St. Andrews, MB and spent her early years there. In 1951, she married Cecil Larter and later moved to Winnipeg and raised two children. In 1981, she married Louis Dutchak and Laura once again returned to St. Andrews. Laura worked for Beaver Lumber for many years and retired in 1987. Laura enjoyed curling and was an active member for many years. After retiring, she and Louis spent many a day on the golf course and enjoyed trips south for winter vacations. Her greatest happiness was her family, who will love, honour and cherish her memory forever. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laura's memory may be made to St. Andrews Church, 3 St. Andrews Road, St. Andrews, MB R1A 2Y4. Public viewing will be one hour prior to the funeral from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. with Rev. S. Sharman officiating. Interment in Old St. Andrews Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Glen Eden Funeral Home, (204) 338-7111.
