LEONA ROSE SHORE With sadness, the Shore family announces the passing of their wife, mother and Nana on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the Grace Hospital. Leona will be forever treasured by her husband Dick of 55 years; her sons, Richard (Jo-Ann) and Larry (Monique) and the lights of her life her grandchildren, Jesse, Alyssa and Luke. Leona is also survived by her sister Greta; brother Lyle (Joyce); sister-in-law Karen; and nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her parents, Rosman and Jessie Gislason and brother Roy. Leona had a varied career life but some of her best years were spent working side by side with Dick creating a business. She centered her life around her family spending the summer months at Falcon Lake and countless winter hours in the hockey rink cheering for her grandsons. Leona was kind and generous to everyone who came into her life. She will be missed by all she touched. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Kirkfield Park United Church in Westwood. The family would like to express a special thank you to Gayel Bodnarchuk for keeping Leona beautiful during her long and courageous battle. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made in Leona's memory to CancerCare Manitoba at Grace Hospital. The family also wishes to thank Dr. Harris and nursing staff of Grace Hospital.
