NELLIE SITARZ February 23, 1914 April 23, 2007 Our beloved Mother passed away suddenly and peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 93 years, in the presence of her family. Mom was predeceased by her parents, John and Marcella Twardochleb, her beloved husband Frank (1955), her sister Minnie Grenick, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Nellie is survived by her brother Leonard of Winnipeg; daughter Helen (Jim) Parker of Calgary, three sons, Norbert (Lorna), Carl of Winnipeg and Richard (Elaine) of Rollyview, Alberta; her adoring grandchildren, Craig (Diane) Parker of Okotoks, Alberta, Lisa Parker-Shaw of Vancouver, Gina (Adrian) Whitlow of Sundre, Alberta, Bradley (Jennifer) Sitarz of Winnipeg, Kelly Sitarz of Winnipeg, Michelle Brooking of Calgary, Christopher (Christine) Zentner of Millet, Alberta, Michael Zentner of New Sarepta, Alberta and Jonathon Zentner of Rollyview, Alberta; her great-grandchildren, Jordan and Avalon Shaw, Nicolas Parker, Quinn and Cheyenne Whitlow, Landen Sitarz, Nathan, David and Ashley; her niece Janet (Joe) Lopes and their children, Jennifer (Charles) Venzon and Sofia, David (Natalie) and Benjamin. Nellie will be fondly remembered by many other nieces and nephews and their children as well as sisters-in-law, Kay Sitarz of Windsor, Doris Sitarz of Winnipeg and Anne Sokal of Springfield. Mom was born in Winnipeg and lived in the village of Pine Ridge for 87 years of her life. She attended St. Michael's Church in Cook's Creek and was a proud member of the C.W.L. She worked at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club for 20 years and was well known for her home cooked meals and baking. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all her kind and supportive neighbours, wonderful friends of her Church, and her loving relatives for all your thoughtfulness and friendships. Special thanks to Drs. E. Doermer and J. Koulack for your excellent medical care of our Mom. Pallbearers will be Carl Sitarz, Bradley Sitarz, Craig Parker, David Lopes, Jim Parker and Joe Lopes. Honourary Pallbearers are Kelly Sitarz, Robin Dopheide, Victor Malyk, Ted Bonke and Albert Yurkowski. Prayers and Visitation on Friday, April 27, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Church in Cooks Creek led by Deacon Jack Klaverkamp. Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church celebrated by Father Marcel Damphouse. Burial to follow at Birds Hill Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and if you so wish, a donation may be made to St. Michael's Building Fund, Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
