Ernie was born on May 7, 1919 and was predeceased by his wife Denise, son George, great-grandson Caymin, sisters, Martha and Nancy, and brother John. Ernie will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Betty (Brian) Pettapiece and Janet (Ron) Muller; daughter-in-law Pat (Ken) Deptuck; grandchildren, Sherry (Chad), Barbara (Kevin), Reanna (Thomas), Chris (Sara), Denis (Angela), Candice, Trevor (Jennifer), Stacy (Adena); and great-grand-children, Chyler, Jaden, Willow, Danica, Andrew, Brittany, and Jordan. He is also survived by his sister Lorraine Mailey, and brothers, David Crozier, Joe Crozier, Stanley Crozier. He will be sadly missed by good friends, Olive Thorvaldson and Bill Schellenberg, and many other relatives and friends. Ernie farmed the land where he grew up. He farmed for most of his life, and also worked as a carpenter after retiring from farming. He spent many hours taking care of his garden and flowers, and puttering with woodworking projects. Ernie also enjoyed having coffee or a good game of cards with friends or family. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Khalil and staff of St. Pierre Hospital, and Dr. Garba and staff of the Bethesda Hospital for their outstanding care, compassion, and support. Thank you to family and friends who offered support and help through the difficult times. Special thanks to Alvin and Maureen Stewart and family, Bill Schellenberg, and Wyona Baldwin for always being there. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30 at the Morris United Church, (corner Lucinda St. and Ottawa Ave.) in Morris.
