ROGER ADRIEN DUPAS It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend Roger Dupas. Roger said good-bye to his life-long love and best friend of 51 years, Annette on November 15, 2006. He was reunited with her on April 25, 2007. He passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family. He was 74 years old. He was predeceased by his son Pierre in 1981; his parents, C.N. (Paul) and Dora Dupas; his brothers, Gilbert and Camille; and his sisters, Madeleine, Paulette and Lorraine. Roger loved his wife Annette, his family and had a great passion for beauty and life. He expressed that love through his art, his writings and his gardening. He also loved reading, bowling, fishing and picking berries; any activities that allowed him to spend hours in nature. He was a very creative man and this is the legacy he leaves us. Roger fell in love with Annette at first sight, while he was volunteering at a bingo. To Roger, his family always came first and he would move anywhere in order to support and be with them. Roger loved being with his family and he always had a smile and a wink when he saw one of us. Roger was the father of nine children. He will be missed by his children: Suzanne and Mel Brisebois; Lise and Ron Seadon; Paul Dupas and Leslie Watson; Ronald Dupas; Monique and Gord Keam; Marcel and Kathy Dupas; Lucie and Luc Gregoire; and Linette Dupas. He leaves 22 grandchildren: Richard (Melanie); Andre (Rosita); Marianne (Shannon); Patric (Tiffany); Alan (Michelle); Rachele (Trevor); Brenden (Wendy); Jenilee (Ray); Kristen; Candice; Danielle; Chantal; Dominique; Bernard; Francois; Matthieu; Benoit; Marc; Elisabeth; David; Stephan; Aelys. He also leaves 20 great-grandchildren: Marey; Samantha; Jacob; Nicholas; Molly; Daniel; Eve; Austin; Ella; Savannah; Wesley; Joshua; Ethan; Leyna; Rayne; Emma; Piper; Trisha; Oliver and Hunter. He also leaves to mourn his passing his siblings: Joseph (Bertha), Denise Dupas, Jeannine (Archie) Ross, Jacqueline (Jean) Bouffard, Therese (Marcel) DesAutels, Rolande Spencer, Claudette (Edmond) DeGagne, Raymonde (Bob) Hall, Bernard (Flo); his in-laws: Jackie Guenette, Doreen Guenette, Ada Guenette, Lea Thibert, Gilbert Guenette, Rose-Marie (Leo) Delorme, Rose-Aimee Cure, Maurice Manaigre, Rolly (Lucille) Guenette and Gerald (Doris) Guenette; and numerous relatives and friends. We will miss you Dad but take comfort in the fact that you are with Mom and Pierre in Heaven. We would like to express our thanks to the staff of Riverview Health Centre and the CancerCare Centre for their kindness and care. You helped make his final days peaceful and dignified. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 30, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at St. Emile Church, St. Vital. Interment will be at Notre Dame de Lorette Church in Lorette on May 1, 2007 at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
