LYDIA BEATRICE ARNOLD
Date of Passing: Apr 26, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYDIA BEATRICE ARNOLD It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lydia Beatrice Arnold, who died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, April 26, 2007, with family and friends by her side. Lydia was born in London, England in 1926 and moved to Winnipeg in 1984 to be with her son David (Dwenda) and, at that time, her only grandchild, Danielle. She was a very quiet, kindhearted person who loved the arts, especially the Winnipeg Ballet and Symphony; she enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Lydia is deeply mourned and missed by her two sons, David and Jonathon, daughters-in-law, Dwenda and Susan and her five grandchildren, Danielle, Michael, Florence, Meriel and Eve. For the last several years Lydia has resided at the Sharon Home, Simkin Centre. The family wish to thank Betty, Brenda, Jane, and all the nursing staff and health care personnel who have been so kind to Lydia. A special thank you also goes out to our dear family friend, Sylvia, who has been so close to our mother for so many years. We don't know what we would have done without you. Thanks also to Martha, for your kindness and care over these past few years. There will be a graveside service at Rosh Pina Memorial Park, 2795 Main Street at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 30 followed by a reception at David and Dwenda's home. At Lydia's request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Winnipeg. We wish to thank Debbie Davis and Stephen Hyman for their kind support and assistance.
