SHELLEY PATRICIA DAVIDSON (nee WELTER) It is with deepest sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Shelley on Saturday, April 21, 2007 with her family by her side, at the Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 53 years. Remaining to forever cherish Shelley's memory are her husband Allister; sons, Matthew and James; mother Shelagh Welter; brother Greg (April) of Lockport; aunts, Vicky of Okotoks, AB who was a good friend and Pat of Winnipeg; as well as brother-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her father Edward Welter. Born January 18, 1954 in Winnipeg as the first child for Edward and Shelagh Welter, Shelley grew up in St. James and was very happy to move back to live in Winnipeg within the past few years. She moved to Stonewall to raise her boys where they lived for six years, and then to Woodlands where her boys could grow up in the country. Shelley had numerous jobs over the years, but she was happiest when working for Homecare in Stonewall, then in Winnipeg. Camping with her family, the trip to Disney World and the train trip through the Rockies were Shelley's greatest pleasures, but the thing she enjoyed most by herself was watching her hummingbirds. There was never any doubt as to how much Shelley loved her family. Everything she did, she did for them. She was very proud of her boys. A private family funeral service for Shelley was held in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Ave. at Sharp Boulevard. Our family would like to thank Dr. Darcy Johnson, Dr. Patricia Harris; nurses, Kathy and Holly at Grace General Cancer Care and Dr. Jana Pilkey who made Shelley's final days at Riverview peaceful. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Shelley's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to a charity of one's choice. Those we love remain with us. In the whisper of the wind, in a soft rain that falls from heaven, in each sunrise, in every single star that lights the night sky, and in every single memory we hold within our hearts.
