EVA DOROTHY TAYLOR June 23, 1920 ~ April 20, 2007 Peacefully, on April 20, 2007, Dorothy passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her loving husband of over 50 years Dave; son Bill and daughter Beth; siblings, May and Bob, and grandson David. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gail (Vic) Witroway and Ron (Judy); grandchildren, Grant, Deborah, Rita (Allan), Warren, Ricky, Shari, Julie, Karen and Kim (Greg). Dorothy will also be missed by Sandra and Earl; her many great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Dorothy grew up in Rennie, Manitoba. Her and Dave were married on July 21, 1940, and shortly after moved to Winnipeg. She was an active member of St. John's United Church and later of Kildonan United. Dorothy enjoyed singing, knitting, bowling and baking. Dorothy was approachable, kind-hearted and classy. Her devotion to her family was unsurpassed. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 1, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Kildonan United Church, 187 Kilbride Ave. with Reverend Earl Gould officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall, and an interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. The family would like to thank the staff at Middlechurch Home for their generosity and kindness shown to Mom.
