AMANDA I. R. CLAEYS It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Amanda on Saturday, April 28, 2007, with her family at her side, at the Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 19 years. Amanda is lovingly remembered by her mother and father, Claire and Norman, younger sister Michelle, Mémère and Pépère, Rita and Leopold Talbot, Grandma and Grandpa, Irene and Albert Claeys, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Born September 17, 1987 at St. Boniface Hospital, Amanda grew up in St. Norbert, graduating from Vincent Massey Collegiate in 2005. Amanda was working on completing Early Child Care courses at Red River. Before her illness Amanda enjoyed working at St. Norbert Children's Centre as well as volunteering her time teaching Catechism at Mary, Mother of the Church. Amanda's family would like to thank staff from the Health Sciences Centre and the Riverview Health Centre and her many friends who made her final days peaceful. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive, viewing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church, with Father Carl Tarnopolski officiating. Viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Amanda's arrangements have been entrusted to Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 233-4949 or toll free 1-888-233-4949.
