HENRIETTE NAGEL (nee LABERGE) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Henriette (aka Henrietta) Nagel on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Concordia Hospital, at the age of 69 years of age. She was born on August 25, 1937 in Toutes-Aides, Manitoba, daughter of Maurice Laberge and Nellie Pubben. Henriette and her husband, Arthur Nagel, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2006. She is survived by her husband Arthur Nagel; five sons, Rory (Betty), Randy, Ryan, Rick and Reece. She will be dearly missed by her three granddaughters, Angela (Andrew) Wickman, Amanda and Carly; mother-in-law Mollie Nagel, and sister-in-law Patricia McGuffin. Henrietta's six sisters and eight brothers will cherish her memory, Gilbert (Yvonne), Elsie (Rev. Douglas W. Giles), Julia (Gerard) Berube, Louis (Linda), Gertrude (Nico) Marzella, Ovila, Leo (Sylvia), Denis, Fernand (Marguerite), Edouard, Linda Doherty, Monica (Isaac) Hofer, Adrien and Jacqueline (Rocky Buckmaster), as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Henrietta's generous and caring nature led her to give unconditional love and support to family and friends. She was happiest when in the midst of her family and literally bloomed at the extended family reunions and picnics, surrounded by loved ones. Henrietta enjoyed and delighted in pottering around in her flowerbeds. The family extends its appreciation to Dr. Karen Braun, Dr. Pat Harris and the staff of the Oncology Department, and to Concordia Hospital's staff on Ward 3 and in Pastoral Care for their heartfelt care, devotion and support during Henrietta's battle with cancer. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers friends and family are invited to direct donations to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.
