BETTY LYNN BLANCHARD (nee OGILVIE) August 1, 1945 April 28, 2007 On Saturday morning, April 28, 2007, Mother passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre, in Winnipeg, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 61. She was predeceased by her husband and soulmate Joe; her mother Gladys; her father Kenneth, and brother Doug. She will be sadly missed by her son Jason (Tianda) and grandchild Kassandra of Sherwood Park; daughter Tammy and grandchildren, Meghan, Alyssa and Connor of St. Albert; her brother Wayne (Fritzie) of Sherwood Park; nephew Trevor of Chicago; sisters-in-law, Marguerite (Camille) and Anna; brother-in-law Maurice (Dolly). Born in Elkhorn, Mom worked in Brandon, Edmonton and finally at Canada Post in Winnipeg until her passing. Mom enjoyed traveling with a total of four cruises including one Trans-Atlantic voyage. Cremation has already taken place and no service will be held as requested by Mom. A very special thank you to the staff of Riverview who kept her comfortable and happy.
