Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDEREK HILL June 18, 1919 - April 27, 2007 After a short illness, Derek Hill passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital on Friday, April 27, 2007, Derek was born in Abergavenny, Wales and immigrated to Canada in 1926 with his parents and siblings. Derek was predeceased by Adeline, his beloved wife of 57 years, in June 2000; his father Rowland in 1933 and mother Celia in 1990; two brothers, Alfred and Edward; and three sisters, Grace (Adams) McDowell, Vera Saunders and Ivy Scarr. Derek is survived by his sister Joan Harris; brothers, Dennis (Alice) and Bernard (Dora), and sister-in-law Joyce Ewatski as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations can be made in Derek's memory to a charity of one's choice.
