MICHAEL JUCE Peacefully in his sleep, Michael (Mike) Juce of Warren, MB on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Holy Family Home where he lived since October 2001. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anne (Mushumansky); three sisters, Victoria (Mike Labba), Bertha (Bill Callins), and Nellie (Fred Stanchuk); as well as a brother-in-law George Russell; one sister in infancy, Lillian and one stillborn son Stephen. He leaves to grieve his beloved wife of 59 years, Margaret (Kiez); children, JoAnne (Stan Mikulenka) of Calgary, Rosemary Dzus (Brian Knudsen) of Warren, James, and Esther (Howard R. Engel) of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Amelia and Heather Trachsel of Winnipeg; sister Mary (Russell) of Kelowna, BC; brother Adam (Mary Rehaluk) of Dauphin, MB. Michael was born on April 20, 1919. He volunteered for the army during the Second World War, but was fortunate enough not to see action. He married Margaret Kiez on October 12, 1947 and after 18 years in the Angusville area, the family, by then expanded by four children, moved to a quarter-section in the Warren area where Margaret and James still live. Prayers will be said at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 1175 Main St., Winnipeg, MB, at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, followed by a reception and vigil. Thursday, May 3 at 9:30 a.m., also at the Cathedral, liturgy will be celebrated by the Very Reverend Lakusta and the Reverend Harkavyi followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon reception will follow. Procession to the interment at the Warren Cemetery will be followed by coffee and fellowship at 3:00 p.m. at Warren Memorial Hall. Pallbearers will be nephews Eugene Callins and David Juce, son-in-law Howard R. Engel, neighbour Grant Hamilton and fellow parishioners Walter Manulak and Stephen Hinkewich. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Home or the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. MacKenzie Funeral Service of Stonewall, MB in care of arrangements.
