Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIMONE DENNISON (nee MANSEAU) November 11, 1917 April 28, 2007 Simone died peacefully at home, surrounded by Bill, husband of 63 years, daughters and close friends. She had been lovingly cared for by Delphine, JoAnn (Ivan), Bonnie and Aline (Miles). Also left behind are 10 grandchildren, Simone (Marc), Christine (Eric), Lee (Holly), Lance (Janna), Luke (Regan), Lindsey, Cory, Collin, Shane (Dawn), and Tyler; eight great-grandchildren; sister Therese Bruneau; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Irene and Jack Blandford and Mary and Charlie Cowan; and her acquired daughter, Ida (Reichardt) Backman. She now joins parents, Philippe and Rose Alma, and siblings, Eva, Angele, Alma, Henri, Donat and Leo. Born and raised on a farm near Letellier, Mom had a thirst for adventure and travel that led her from building planes in Ottawa to filleting fish in Prince Rupert, where she met Able Seaman Bill Dennison. They settled in Winnipeg, and raised a family. The Dennison door was always open (home or lake) and good times were enjoyed by all. Mom's pragmatic approach to life, laced with generous amounts of kindness and humour, were a magnet to those who knew and loved her. The grandchildren were her passion and pleasure. Her open and loving heart was sustained by a constant, simple faith. If ever anyone is to see the face of God, it's Mom. Special thanks to Mary Peshke, Marlene, the Palliative Care Nursing Team, and Home Care. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Mom's Life will be held Thursday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 1531 Pembina Hwy. Should anyone wish to make a memorial donation, please consider the Children's Wish Foundation.
