Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN MARGUERITE HARDING (nee RILEY) July 9, 1915 - April 30, 2007 At Oakview Place, on Monday, April 30, 2007, Kathleen Marguerite (Riley) in her 92nd year, beloved wife of the late Arthur Byde Harding (2002). Kathleen (Kay) was the devoted mother of Lynda Anne, William (Bill) Arthur, both of Winnipeg. Bill's twin, the late Robert John (1952), and Jerald Franklin (Jerry) of California. Grandmother to Jerry's daughters, Jade and Jasmine. Predeceased by her brother John Franklin Riley (1999) of Penticton, BC, and her sister Myrtle A. Sutherland (1992). Kathleen will be remembered by her sisters-in-law, Julia Harding of Winnipeg, Ruth Harms of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Alice Robson of Regina, Saskatchewan and their families, and the family of her late sister-in-law Norah Holmstrom (2003), as well as the Sutherland family. The middle child of the late Samuel (1945) and Ada Anne (Franklin) (1969) Riley, Kathleen was born in the family home on Ferry Road, St. James. She spoke often of the happy memories of her early childhood in Birmingham, England and the Cotswolds when her parents returned to England. On the family's return to St. James, Kathleen attended Linwood School, and was active in Girl Guides, and the St. James Horticultural Society. On her marriage to Arthur, August 16, 1947 they remained in her family home on Albany Street until Arthur moved to Oakview Place and Kay joined him there in 2000. Lynda and Bill would like to thank all at Oakview Place who cared for their mother and father, and the kindness shown to them. A service to celebrate Kathleen's life will be held on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in Kathleen's memory to Pulford community Living Services, Unit 24 - 62 Scurfield Blvd., Winnipeg, MB, R3Y 1M5.
