ALEXANDER FLETCHER WHITNEY Suddenly, on April 30, 2007 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Alexander Fletcher Whitney passed away at the age of 85. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Amy Whitney; siblings, Norma, Hazel, Grace, Francis, his brothers, Archie and Jim. Left to mourn is his loving wife Elsie of 62 years and daughter Linda; grandsons, Fred, Neil, Larry; granddaughters, Pamela, Tina, Natalie; great-grandson Justin; daughter-in-law Helen; sisters, Nellie Laing (Gord), Maggie Young, Clara Barthelette (George). Dad worked at Cran Mowat Draver for 25 years, also at Merchants Consolidated, then retired at 55, to spend time with family, friends and grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Rev. Alan Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
