DOREEN MAY CANTWELL (nee PARK) We bid farewell to our beloved Doreen on April 30, 2007, after a short bout with cancer at Concordia Hospital. She was surrounded by the love of her beloved son Craig, her family and family friend Rev. John Friesen. Doreen was born in Lac du Bonnet, MB on May 26, 1938. She left school there to work in Winnipeg where she met her future husband Anthony Cantwell and were married June 3, 1961. Tony passed away when their only son was two years of age. Doreen went back into the work force at Eaton's and retired from Vita Health four years ago. We remember fondly all the fun times together at the cottage in Lac du Bonnet - especially all the swimming. She was recently predeceased by our beloved Nana her mother Cassie on November 6, 2006. She was also predeceased by her father, three brothers, Brian, Leonard and Roy and sister-in-law Dorothy. Doreen is survived by son Craig (Carri) and her gift from Heaven , grandson Cole of Mission, BC. She also leaves sisters, Joyce (Ross) Mitchell, Judy (Stuart) Kidd, Patricia (Rick) Livermore; brothers, Allan, Kenny (Irene) and Curtis; sisters-in-law, Grace and Irene; many loving nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Doreen will be especially missed by two very special nieces, Diane Quiring and Dione Koop, who were always there for her - right to the end as she was always there for them. We wish to thank the nurses and staff on 3W for their wonderful care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 4, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Saviour's Anglican Church, 690 Munroe Ave. (at Grey) with Rev. Richard Condo officiating. Interment following at Thomson in the Park, 1291 McGillvray Blvd (Fort Garry).
