JACOB (JAKE) PENNER December 28, 1926 May 2, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 80 years. Remaining to forever cherish Jake's memory are his wife Lorraine of 48 years; sons, Jamie (Laurie), Ken (Jackie), Keith (Colleen), and Phil; eight grandchildren that he was so proud of, Justin, Sarah, Brittany, Katelyn, Alicia, Zachary, Emily, and Noah; three brothers, John, Pete and Bernie; and three sisters, Helen, Ruth and Betty. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 7 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 271 Hampton St., with Rev. Msgr. Michael Moore presiding. For those who wish, viewing will be held from 9:30 10:15 a.m. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Tuxedo Villa for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jake's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
