Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS MALZENSKY Suddenly on May 1, 2007, Gladys passed away after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer Disease. Mom was born on September 13, 1925. Over the course of her 81 years, she was a loving daughter, sister, niece, aunt, wife, mother and friend. She married the love of her life, William on May 11, 1946 when he returned from overseas following the Second World War. He predeceased her on April 15, 1991. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Kay, Elsie, Leona, Pearl and her brother Bill. Mom is survived by her two children: son William (Cheryl) and daughter Anna. She also leaves to mourn her passing, her sister Margie: brothers-in-law, Ed, Steve, Henry, Adolf and Mike; sister-in-law Olga; and many nieces and nephews. She was a stay at home Mom when we were young: eventually returning to work partime in various positions in the food service industry. She retired from Seven Oaks General Hospital Dietetics. For the past two years Mom resided at the Oakview Place Nursing Home and we would like to thank the staff of 1 North for their care, support and compassion. Because of Mom's love for animals (she leaves behind her two much-loved cats, Smudge and Cassie), donations to an animal charity of your choice would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. If preferred, donations to the Manitoba Alzheimer Society would also be welcomed. According to Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment has been held. A Memorial Service celebrating Gladys's life will be held on Saturday, May 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
