ANNE MESZAROS (TREMBECKI) October 22, 1927 ~ May 2, 2007 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Anne Meszaros, on Wednesday morning, May 2, 2007, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 79 years; beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 42 years, Louis; daughters, Dr. Irma Reich (Al), Maria Kosary (Joe); grandchildren, Maria Weir (Dan), David Reich (Karen), Tanya Reich and Kathy Reich; great-grandchildren, Victoria Weir, Ryan, Matthew, and Luke Reich. She will also be missed by her sisters, Hilda Chronik (Joe) and Margaret Rose Gee (Ed) and all their families. She was predeceased by her brother Joe Trembecki (Beth) and will also be missed by his sons and their families. Anne will be remembered fondly by many relatives and friends. Grandma was born in Hungary, the eldest of four children. She came to Canada at an early age and grew up in Alberta. She was a loving and caring daughter who helped in raising her younger siblings. In 1955, Anne moved to Winnipeg, where she met Louis the love of her life. Not only was she a devoted wife but also a great mother to her new family daughters, Irma and Maria. Throughout her life, Grandma worked hard at whatever she put her mind to. She was employed in accounting, retiring at the age of 57. She enjoyed many hobbies, including travel, reading, crocheting, needlework and gardening. She and Louis travelled to many destinations; most memorable were their many trips to Europe. Grandma enjoyed her family the most. She would make it a priority to hold Sunday dinners to bring the family together during their hectic schedules; a memory that we will all cherish. In the early years, Anne spent countless hours with her grandchildren and more recently with her great-grandchildren, whom she truly loved and delighted in watching grow. She would share many happy childhood memories and loved spending time playing house and teaching crosswords to her great-granddaughter Victoria. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. The family would like to thank the neighbours, the Emergency team and the doctors and nurses at the St. Boniface Hospital. A special thank you to Father Roland Lanoie who helped comfort our family during this difficult time. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 7, at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue (Aubrey Street entrance) at 1:00 p.m. with viewing prior to the service. Interment will follow at Thomson in the Park. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 310 Broadway Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. Rest in peace ~ we love you forever. Nyugodjon Bekeben ~ orokre marad a szivunkben. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200 www.nbardal.mb.ca
