JEAN BAIN (nee BETHUNE) It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Jean on April 27, 2007 peacefully at her home at the age of 85. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Sandra, grandsons, Greg (Karyn) and Chris (Kristen), great-grandchildren, Oren, Eaton, Keston, Tessa and Brennan, sister Bertha, brother Lorne, sister-in-law Rose, and a number of nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband George, parents, Mary and John, brothers, Bob and Jack, sister-in-law Lil and brother-in-law Bert. Jean was born and raised in Winnipeg, living her early years in Morse Place and then Elmwood. She was a long-time member of Elmwood Ladies Curling Club and the couples curling which she and George participated in for a number of years. To be able to watch her grandsons when they were involved in their sporting activities was definitely a highlight of her life. Jean's family and friends were important to her and to share in great-grandchildren's birthday celebrations was always thoroughly enjoyed. A Celebration of Jean's life will be held on Thursday, May 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6; Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6; or a charity of your choice.
