ALICE LOVBERG (MURPHY) On May 1, 2007, Alice passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Alice was born in Winnipeg on August 14, 1920 and grew up and attended school in Grosse Isle, MB. After school she worked at Eaton's for many years. Alice married her loving husband Edward on November 11, 1944. After Edward returned from service in the Navy during the Second World War they moved to Canwood, SK, where they farmed for many years. On returning to Winnipeg, Edward and Alice moved to Boyd Avenue, where they took pride in their flower gardens and enjoyed the good friends who lived there and whom Alice thought of like family. Alice lived in her home until last year when she moved to 1080 Powers. She made new friends there. Until the last couple of years Alice lived a very good and healthy life. Alice was predeceased by her mother and father, her loving husband Edward, sisters, Elsie McLeod, Margarite Avison, Mabel Minaker, Helen Sims: brothers, Harry, Douglas and Kenneth Murphy and son-in-law David Kirsch. Alice leaves to mourn, her two daughters, Karen Kirsch and Carol Abbott (Ron Morin); grandchildren, Greg Kirsch (Nadine Kaletzke), Carri Kellar (Dan) and Kristi Abbott (Michael Hudrick); great-grandchildren, Brett and Brooklyn Kirsch and Ryan and Kennedy Reuther, brother and sister-in-law, George and Marge Murphy, sister Marion McClintock, sister-in-law Ann Peters and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. We would like to thank the staff of third floor, Unit two at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion that they extended to our mother and to us. You are very special people. A Memorial Service in Alice's memory will be held on Monday, May 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Inkster. A private interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation in Alice's memory be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
