ELSIE PAWLUK (TWERDUN) Mom passed away peacefully at Goodwin Lodge on May 5, 2007. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Bettyann (John), Dwyla (Rick) and Tanis (Greg); grandchildren, Teresa (Brian), James, Jennifer (Michael), Kelly, Ethan and Joshua: great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Brendan, Liam and Isabella. She was predeceased by husband Nick (1975) and son Roger (1971). Mom was born December 21, 1925 and married Dad in 1944. She was very proud to be a part of the farming community. Mom worked with Dad on the farm for 31 years and remained on the farm after his passing until 2001 when she moved to Gateway Manor. Mom continued her passion of gardening at Gateway Manor and as much as she enjoyed living at Gateway Manor, her thoughts were often back to her Little House on the Prairie . Mom was a great cook. Whether you were family, friends or the repairman, Mom would make you coffee, lunch and send a bag of food to take home. Mom resided at Goodwin Lodge for the past two months where she was cared for with compassion and dignity. She especially enjoyed the musical activities there. The family would like to thank the staff at Goodwin Lodge and Teulon Hospital for their care. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 9, at 10:00 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon, MB with interment to follow at St. Williams Cemetery.
