Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKAY UNGER May 1, 1913 - May 4, 2007 Peacefully, after a brief illness Mom passed away on Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Bayside Personal Care Home in Killarney. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Henrietta Clark, Abe Unger (Marie), Martha Epp (Dave), Ruth Friesen (John), Bill Unger (Elsie), Barb Kehler ( Harv) and her foster daughters, Selma and Marcia Hobson and her many grand-children, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary and Dorothy and numerous nieces and nephews. Kay was predeceased by her husband Jacob (1975); daughters, Eva (1997), Gertrude (1978) and infant daughter Hannah in 1952; sons-in-law, Ernie Clark (1966) and Harvey Robinson (2005) and her foster son Barry Hobson (1982). Mom was born in Rose Farm, MB and at a very young age worked as a domestic helper for many families. In 1932 Mom married Jacob Unger. They raised their family in the Cartwright area, and when Mom's eyesight failed she moved into Killarney. Mom enjoyed many years of volunteering as a cook's helper at Turtle Mountain Summer Camp, delivering Meals on Wheels, and working at the MCC store in Brandon. Mom spent many hours working on a variety of crafts which she shared with many that stopped by for a visit. Mom was blessed with good health which allowed her travel across Canada visiting many family members and friends. She even travelled to the Northwest Territories to visit with her granddaughter. Her family would like to express their sincere thank you to the staff at the Bayside Personal Care Home for all their love and support. We would also like to thank Mrs. Marie Groening and Donna Pawich for their many hours of love and kindness to Mom. Flowers are gratefully declined, if friends so desire donations can be made in memory of Kay Unger to the Turtle Mountain Sunday School Mission Bible Camp, Deloraine, MB R0M 0M0. Viewing will be at the Wheatland Chapel on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the Cartwright Cemetery at 1:00 p.m., with service to follow in the Killarney Mennonite Church on Bay Avenue at 2:00 p.m. - Psalm 91: 1-2 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
