DONALD JAMES BILKOSKI September 8, 1944 May 5, 2007 There are no words to express how we feel about the loss of our beloved husband, brother, dad and precious Papa . Donnie died courageously with his wife, Marsh, and his girls by his side, after a brief bout with cancer. Donnie will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marcia (nee Mikkelsen); daughters, Teri (Lorre) Proulx, Christine (Don) Harcus and Lori (Brent) Bryson; grandchildren, Ryan, Emily, Caleb, Ethan, Tristan and Bryce; sisters, Eunice and Billy; brother Dave (Linda); sister-in-law June; Godson Bradley; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary, brothers, John and Max and sisters, Laura and Martha. Don was born in Neepawa, MB and raised in Brookdale, MB where he met Marcia, and they were married in August of 1966. He was employed with Manitoba Hydro for many years and then became self-employed with his underground cable and trenching company, Pol-lite Enterprises. Don worked and lived in Brandon, Fisher Branch and Pine River until making Selkirk his home to raise his family in 1973. Don left Manitoba in 2000 to work in Wisconsin, then Arizona and most recently residing in Long Beach, California before returning back to Selkirk. He will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love him. You are forever in our hearts and we will always cherish the many memories that remind us of your spirit, determination, love of family and friendship. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the Selkirk United Church, 202 McLean Ave., Selkirk with Rev. Ken Delisle officiating.
