THORBJORG (TOBY) HUNTER 1913 2007 On May 5, 2007, at Tuxedo Villa, our Mother and Amma peacefully passed away surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband Elmer; brother Jonny, and sisters, Margaret, Lillian, Gudrun; she is survived by her son David (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Darrin, Kevin, Meaghan; nieces, Loa (Larry) and Margaret (David); nephews, Tim (Eleanor) and Jeff (Maureen); great-nieces and nephew, Gina, Aquilla, Catherine, Jennifer and John. Widowed too early in 1975, Toby lived independently in her home until she was 93. Toby was a beautiful, private person, fiercely proud of her family, her Icelandic heritage, The City of Winnipeg and then of course Gimli . The family would like to thank Dr. Mysore, friends and staff at Grace 1 North and the 5th floor, the exceptional staff at Tuxedo Villa who cared for her so well. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue with entrance on Aubrey Street, with interment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery Goda Nott Elskan Eg Elska Thig In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations can be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation.
