KATHLEEN MAUDE MARTIN (nee KINRADE) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Martin on Monday, April 30, 2007 at the Grace Hospital. She was born in Winnipeg on August 6, 1916, the daughter of Cecil and Annie Kinrade and is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Albert (Bert) Martin, and five sons, Russell (Linda), Norman (Sharon), Kenneth (Jill), Terry, Paul (Caryn). She will be dearly missed by her ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy (Ivor) Jones, brother-in-law Ernie (Edie) Martin and many nieces and nephews. Mom had a full and active life raising five sons. She enjoyed doing needle point and knitting for her grandchildren. Mom enjoyed many activities including bowling, curling, golfing and lawn bowling. While able, Mom and Dad enjoyed many winters south along with extensive travel and cruising. After moving to The Wellington she made many friends and participated in most activities. Kathleen was a proud wife and mother. She raised her family to have strong work ethics, moral values, and determination. She was a shining example for us and will be deeply missed. The family extends its appreciation to the Doctors and staff of the Grace Hospital and Hospice for their loving care. According to Mom's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In remembrance, a donation to a charity of one's choice may be made in Kathy's memory. You can only have one mother Patient kind and true; No other friend in all the world, Will be the same to you. When other friends forsake you, To your mother you will return. For all her loving kindness, She asks nothing in return. As we look upon her picture, Sweet memories we recall, Of a face so full of sunshine, And a smile for one and all. Sweet Jesus, take this message, To our dear mother up above; Tell her how we miss her, And give her all our love. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715
