DAVID JOHN FUNK 1919 2007 On Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Salem Home in Winkler, David John Funk, aged 88 years went to his eternal rest. He leaves to mourn his passing two daughters, Lorna and Rudy Fast of Ontario (Denni-jo, Jeneane and Chris), Sandra and Norman Hiebert of Winnipeg (Faron and Lynn, (Quinton, Emily, Nathan), Jeremy and Juanita, (Joshua), Tyler and Christina); two sons, Ron and Diana Funk of Ontario (Rachel and Dave), Floyd and Lynne Funk of Winnipeg (Kenneth and Michaela, Candace); one sister, Anne and Neil Thiessen and sister-in-law Betty Neufeld. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Eva (Neufeld) (1997); parents, John and Anna (nee Klassen) Funk; two sisters, Margaret and Tina; two brothers, John and Henry. Viewing will be held at Wiebe Funeral Home, 121 8th St., Winkler on Thursday, May 10 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Winkler EMM Church, 600 Southview Dr. Interment to follow at Winkler Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Salem Home for their compassionate care over the last three years.
