PATRICIA ALICE SILK (nee LOWERY) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Silk at the age of 74, on Monday, May 7, 2007 at the Riverview Health Centre. Pat will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Doug, with whom she shared more than 55 years and her children, daughter, Deborah (George) Eves, of Quispamsis, NB, sons, Allan (Colleen) and Thomas of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Rhiannon (Francesco) Evangelista of Athens, GA, Sarah-Jane Eves of Quispamsis, NB, Ian Silk and Erica Silk of Winnipeg; brother Ben (Ellen) Lowery of Victoria, BC, sisters-in-law, Jean Silk of Winnipeg and Barbara Smith of Port Moody, BC and brother-in-law Gordon (Bert) Silk of Winnipeg, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Davie and brother Edward Lowery. Pat was devoted to her family, particularly her grandchildren, delighting in their many accomplishments. A lifelong member of the Anglican Church, she was active at both the diocesan and parish levels. With a passion for choral music, she sang in church choirs for many years and instilled this interest in her children and grandchildren. A creative person, Pat best expressed herself through her exquisite embroidery, sewing and knitting. A member of the Embroiderers Guild, she attended many workshops to improve her skills. Pat was the past president and founding member of the Manitoba Chapter of the Canadian Liver Foundation. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George's Crescentwood Anglican Church, 168 Wilton St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, P.O. Box 2248, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4A6, Canadian Liver Foundation, P.O. Box 1943, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3R2 or the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Pat's family physician, Dr. R.
