Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANISLAW (STAN) SALA With great sadness at age 86, Stan (Gigi) passed away suddenly at Seven Oaks General Hospital on Monday, May 7, 2007. He was born in Poland on December 13, 1920. He married Maria Darmochild in 1945 and immigrated to Canada in 1950, settling in Winnipeg. Dad was employed at Canadian National Railway for 30 years until early retirement in 1982. His main interest was his family. He took special delight in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dad loved to sit outdoors and greet everyone passing by. Gardening was his passion and he always loved to share the fruits of his labour. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Maria in 1996. He leaves to mourn his son John (Carolyn); daughter Anna (John Wolski); grandchildren, Cindi (Mark Polowy), Teresa, Kim (Ben Ackerman), Steven Wolski (Vanessa); great-grandchildren, Madison, Morgan, Mackenzie, Ty, Annaliese, Noah, Joshua, and Logan. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 12 at 3:00 p.m., Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. West, Winnipeg, 224-1525.
