RITA GAUDRY (nee BOILY) On the evening of May 8, 2007 at the age of 81, Rita Gaudry peacefully entered through the gates of Heaven to experience the warm embrace of her Saviour Jesus Christ. This faith-filled woman made it clear to all the joy of the Lord was her source of strength during her walk on this earth. She was a bold and passionate woman who has left fond memories with everyone she encountered. Mom was ever proud of hailing from the town of La Broquerie, Manitoba, where she was born on October 13, 1925. She brought her whole family back to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Boily family origin in the community. She moved to Winnipeg as a teenager, and within a few years met and fell in love with her soul mate of 62 years, Marcel. Together they raised their five children. Mother instilled in her children a compassion for humanity, strength and determination, and how important humour is in your walk through life. She shared a very special bond with her sister Evelyn, and laughter would fill the house when they were together. Mother was predeceased by her beloved mother Mary Owens, father Pierre Boily (Grandpa Pit), brothers, Denis and Ernest Boily, and sister Denise Niskanen. She will be greatly missed by her husband Marcel. Her legacy continues to live on through her children, Jeanette (Marcel) St. Pierre, Lorraine (Raymond) Lavack, Claude (Alida) Gaudry, Cecile (Bernd) Wermann and Gerry (Pablita) Gaudry. Rita, also referred to as Granny, will also be missed by her 13 grand-children and nine great-grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her brother Rene Boily and sister Evelyn (Ed) Bernardin. Rita was treated with dignity during her ten years of residing at Lions Manor. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the outstanding staff that always went above and beyond the call of duty. The caring and compassionate hearts of Lions Minor nurses and staff was greatly appreciated by Rita and her family. The family welcomes you to join them for the funeral service on May 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 315 Munroe at Brazier Ave. Parking lot access of Donalda. Public viewing will precede the Mass, between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. Service begins at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. A reception will follow the Mass, in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Rossbrook House, 658 Ross Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 0M1, email: mail@rossbrookhouse.ca. This was a charity close to Rita's heart. Thank you for everyone's love and support during this difficult season. Arrangements entrusted to: KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson Hwy. 338-0331 www.klassenfuneralhome.com
