FERNANDO (FRANK) ANTHONY DINARDO September 28, 1925 - April 17, 2007 It is with great sorrow that announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather. Dad now joins his beloved wife Joyce in eternal life. Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep after a short bout of pneumonia. Frank is predeceased by his wife Joyce; his parents, Domenica and Rocco; brothers, Tony, Joe, John and sister Phyllis. Frank will be forever missed by his daughter Christine (Manny); his son Robert; stepdaughter Bonnie; and his grandchildren, Carmella, Michael, Nicholas, Robbie and Tyler; sisters, Bombi, Lena, Anne, Doreen; and brother Jimmy; also by many friends. Frank was born in Toronto where he came from a large Italian family. Later he moved to Winnipeg where he married his wife Joyce. He was employed at Eaton's Mail Order until it closed, then went on to Oak Park High School until he retired. He spent a few years in Calgary, and then returned to Winnipeg. In the latter years he cared for his ailing wife in her final days. Frank was a wonderful caring father, a wonderful husband and a great grandpa who would do anything for you and would always be there to help out. He was a gentleman with a great sense of humour. Frank was also an avid bowler who in 1995 received an award for Sports Excellence and won the Golden Ages Triple Mens Team Manitoba Championship and went on to Ottawa for the Canadian Finals. As per Frank's request, cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest with his wife at Elmwood Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors that cared for him at St. Boniface Hospital and the wonderful nurses that spent time with Dad during his final hours. A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
